Rooey is a Los Angeles-Born, Nashville-Based lofi/instrumental artist and music industry veteran, who has spent the last decade-plus working for record labels like Tooth & Nail, Universal Music Group, Rogue Music Alliance, and more. After spending much of his industry time in marketing roles, Rooey recently reconnected with what got him into this line of work – his love for making music. As a result, he has taken off his label suit and dawned his favorite denim jacket once again as he embarks on his first-ever solo project. Combining his passion for music, and plants in this up-tempo instrumental project with solid inspirations from hip-hop, jazz, and lofi. His first batch of songs is a collection of 12 singles named after pollinator-friendly plants he grows in his Nashville garden. He has committed to taking a portion of streaming revenue to plant native pollinator habitats in the growing season of 2023. With songs set to release every four weeks for the foreseeable future, Rooey is set to keep you busy over the coming months with lots of "tasteful moods". Follow him here on Spotify & Socials to stay in the know. Update: As of now, Rooey is set to plant more than 10,000 native pollinator plants and is low-key stressing out about it but simultaneously happy to have such a beautiful problem to solve.
