Greetings everyone, My name is Anthony Jones also known as GT3MP. I am a 32 year old Los Angeles rap artist. Music is definitely my passion and I wouldn’t rather do anything else.
I spent almost 12 years of my life behind bars due to decisions I made as a young adult. Since, I’ve truly buckled down and really started focusing on my music and honing in my craft. I have music on all platforms as well as several videos on YouTube. Over the past year I’ve been working on my debut EP entitled “Under Oath & Tha Influence”, which is scheduled to be released earlier next year. This project is the epitome of where I come from, where I am now, and and where it is that I am going. My latest single “Dreamin bout Dollas ”continues to gain traction on all platforms with over 4,000 plays on Spotify alone. As an artist I’ve continued to grow my fan base since I’ve gotten released from prison in 2018. I’ve been doing numerous features and continuing to grow as an artist. Growing up I was always into music. I started off rapping at the tender age of 8 years young, and was introduced to the industry by two older cousins of mine. Since then, I pretty much haven’t looked back and continue to get better and better as not just an artist, but also as a man. Music truly inspires me to be better, to be the best version of my self. I feel like when it comes to being musically talented, it is my strong suit. Outside of music, my passion is my family and God, and they both keep me both grounded and motivated. I don’t have many friends now days if any, just tons and tons of family, and I actually have a lot of family members that are industry and we all Feed off eacthother and motivate one another. At one point in time I wanted to be a Gangster rapper. I compartentalized myself in a box for over 10 years, and once and I broke out of that, I started to grow as an artists. If I had one piece of advice to my fellow up and coming artists it would be, once as an artist, you recognize that there’s always room for improvement, then you will continue to improve. Never give up. I went to prison not long after my nineteenth birthday until I was almost 31 years old. When I first went off to prison, I thought my music career was over. Thankfully the game continues to evolve and I continue to evolve with it. Relevance is the key in this industry. For example, E-40, how has been able to keep up with the times? Relevance. |
