Artist from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Well established oldschool representative in Lithuania. Born and raised in Jonava, Lithuania, one of the last strongholds of Golden Era rap. Our movement produced many talented MCs, one of the best music engineer in current Lithuanian Hip-Hop scene (MTW, Shiaure Records) as well as Lithuanian Battle Rap champion (KRP). My songs reflect on moral battles, including fighting your own demons as an artist, as well as a member of society, gasping a spectrum of social aspects influencing music, artists and personal ego of each individual. Songs are well accepted amongst 18+ listener base and are well recognised amongst Lithuanian communities scattered from London, UK to Toronto, Canada and beyond. Many songs have been constant participants in Hip-Hop Top 10, aired on ZipFm radio show Gatves Lyga with some dominating it for weeks at a time, including the last song Qlka- Kol Kojos Laiko produced by Grizzly Beats, which has secured 1st spot for past 6 weeks.
Conscious rap is still a thing, as what goes round comes back around.
This video Qlka- Seseliai was filmed in Edmonton, Alberta and London, UK and reflects on a grim reality that current trend amongst artists is to be what they are expected to be, instead of being true to yourself, thus being true to your listeners, avoiding insulting the their intelligence, as rap movement is quite unique and has room for everybody, whether you’re a criminal of perfect citizen who has an ability to put words on the beat.
I do understand that Lithuanian language is not comprehensive to anyone who does not speak it, but good music can be recognised by heart, not only ears.
