Hip Hop has evolved over the past few decades and has seen many of its facets change. Jaguar Perry is an Artist that epitomizes the essence of the modern era and yet remains true to the very roots of Hip Hop and R&B Culture. The multi-talented Jaguar has roots in North Carolina particularly in Durham and Charlotte where he currently works from. He is making music that is thoughtful, conscious, and driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort, and bring their own unique story to the table.
Jaguar has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influences and inspiration in his music to the pioneers and those who came before who embodied the essence of hip hop. They cite icons such as The Wu-Tang Clan, Dungeon Family, MF Doom, Flying Lotus, Nirvana, and The Lox as the pivotal influences in their music. This all culminates in him producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy-going, and fun but still seeks to provoke thought through experimentation whilst still holding strong to the values of traditional hip hop. Jaguar Perry uses his music as a vehicle to express his perspectives and tell stories. His overarching ambition is to pay homage to those who pushed the tenants of hip hop and rap by keeping the culture alive in order to inspire future generations and in a sense become the next Wu-Tang Clan, and carry the torch of tradition into the future in a refreshing way.
“Remember” is my 5th single and first song of 2022. It is not only a song about a breakup but it’s a song about finding light in the darkness and escaping. I push the envelope, creatively, in this one & showcase my ability to cross genres. My love for rock is pretty prevalent and the imagery throughout the video is thought provoking.
This song kicks off the new year and will be just one of many more to come. I am also proud to announce that I will be launching my own merchandise line this year and cannot wait to share it with the world!

Floy Dexx is a versatile hip-hop artist who triples up as a producer and executive producer. He was raised in Belize City, where he had an early start in his romance with music. At the early age of 10, Floy was already learning to write songs of his own. At that time, most of his songs were about his life – drawing inspiration from legends such as Tupac Shakur.
Floy’s enterprising mind gave him an early start that was way ahead of his peers. At age 16, he took himself through college while producing singles for other artists and himself. His ability to sell is one among many of his stellar qualities other than music. When he was just 24-years-old, Floy sold over 10,000 copies of his first mixtape only in the first month of its release.
In September 2018, he worked alongside prominent names in music such as Snoop Dogg and Famous Dex. He has since harnessed the power of collaboration and to learn from the best while building his presence in the industry. Floy’s music is an exciting mix of hip hop and the ‘good vibes’ culture, such as the one embedded in Jamaican music. The seamless integration of these two genres is testimony to his mind-blowing musical prowess.
His 2018 single, Tropical Nights, is one such song that has a powerful mix of both hip hop and Jamaican music. In 2020, he released more break-through singles such as The One, Flawless, and the exciting Press Play, among others. With a growing fanbase across the world, Floy is undoubtedly one to watch in the near future.
While growing up in Belize, has was surrounded by several challenges, synonymous with anyone growing up in a third-world country. There is not much diversification in Belize. People there were mainly focused on Jamaican music. But Floy was inspired to choose a different route and chose to be true to himself and his calling in music – just like a true believer that he is. As a kid, he used to watch B.E.T and told himself that, someday, he would be there doing exactly what they were doing.
That dream never died. Floy has never let it go since that time. Hip hop was always his thing. He believed that through it, you can tell a story beyond what anyone could ever imagine. For all these years in music, the idea behind creating amazing stories for his fans has kept him believing in more.
Floy’s music is carefully arranged to relate to everyday life. He looks forward to doing this for the rest of his life, touching billions of souls across the world in the process. Besides singing, he has great plans for the production side of the business. He knows that this is the only way to provide a special touch to other artists trying to find their way in music and those already with millions of followers.
