Burnzy is a rapper from London,U.K. and has since a very early age been inspired by hip hop and rap music. When growing up in London at a young age American east coast hiphop and west coast hiphop was what was prominent on the scene at that time so naturally he gravitated towards that genre but as he got older the U.K. started to make their own style of music which is now known to be “Grime” so for Burnzy this also became a big factor and inspiration for him. After leaving school at 15 due to several difficult issues at home he then really started to find solace in music and though he’s own struggles and pains found a small way out of the problems he faced and started to freestyle himself. It was only until 2015 that Burnzy started to actually turn his freestyles into writing lyrics and creating songs and found that not only did he love listening to hiphop and grime but he equally loved writing it too. If you ever listen to Burnzy’s music you will hear this passion through his lyrics and perceptions he portrays, whether it be a story of his life or an aggressive grime track to a more laid back track about love and happiness Burnzy has found his niche and passion and plans on delivering more and more music each time better than the last as he is a firm believer in always getting better at your craft and that there’s always something new to learn. In his new track “I Got You” of his new album “No Bars Wasted” Burnzy reveals that he wrote this song in regards to anyone who may have doubted him through the years and is aimed at a period of he’s life where things weren’t quite going right but as the lyrics show you can always follow your dreams and passions if you really put your heart and mind to it and to ignore the doubters. With the visuals inspired by his local area in north London to match the songs rough and witty lyrics this is sure to catch the imagination of the viewer and listener. Burnzy will be releasing a second album by spring 2021 and hopes to continue with the great start his first album “No Bars Wasted” has already received.
27 year old recording artist Sincerest Don was born in South East Washington DC, but grew up in Dumfries, Virginia where he spent the majority of his life. Don grew up in a family of hustlers, but made a promise to his family and himself that he would use his talents as a polished artist to go above and beyond his environment and tell his story to the world. Sin has been writing and performing for over 10 years, but got his first big push with the release of his most recent EP ‘Life of Sin, 27 Winters’. With his introduction to the world, he came out with a breath of fresh air to the game, with a focus on being a sharp wordsmith rather than relying on catchy hooks or club beats.
A monumental acknowledgement to Sin’s lyrical gifts, and credibility came with the full endorsement of multi platinum New York based producer, Rsonist of The Heatmakerz, who pioneered the chipmunk voice soul samples that ushered in the iconic rap supergroup- The Diplomats. A renowned legend, Rsonist, gelled with Sin’s style and worked with him on several tracks, including the ‘Interlude’ and ‘Strawberry Letter’ on ‘Life of Sin-27 Winters’. Thus, encompassing Sin with the stamp of approval of raps Mecca-NY, while still holding true to his VA roots, and becoming the first VA rapper on a Heatmakerz beat. Akin to his Virginia rap predecessors, and influential inspiration The Clipse, Sin embodies the blue collar, gritty, get it by any means mentality while astutely painting his and his people’s adversities, triumphs, and stories with a raw, yet highly intellectual gleam. Comparing his clever poetic artistry to that of the late great influential painter and designer Jean-Michel Basquiat, who as Sin appreciates, used to paint in his favorite outfit, which often consisted of Armani suits. A fashion connoisseur himself, Sin, like many of us, is a complex individual with his own unique brand and swagger. From akin of seasoned hustlers, to a smooth ladies man who may fly your girl out to the latest art gallery. A self proclaimed foodie, and goofball, that still carries the mystique and aura of a respected don. Sin’s got a lot to offer, and he’s ready to show the world. A true music head, or hip hop enthusiasts dream, Sins’ unique metaphors and wordplay regularly leave listeners dumbfounded, forcing them to rewind certain bars, or have them pick up something new each time they listen. Sin pronounces to usher in a new era that pays homage to the essence of lyrical rap, while still garnering the attention of the current generation with relevant content that will hold it’s own in the streets, and still have the club lit. Stay tuned, No Brakes! Born 08/89′ in Windsor, ON to an American Dad and a Canadian born mother.
Growing up lower than middle class, and not seeing eye to eye with parents since a young age, I always knew I had purpose. On my own since 15, Throwing myself into dance and vocals as an outlet. I travel alone, and work for myself. I’ve excelled moving forward with college and a career in acupressure and reflexology, as well as extra work and English teaching. I never do anything for likes, I invest in me because no one ever has. But I always got it covered #legit. As a Hip Hop vocalist and songwriter I want to bring back real FLOW-ETRY to the millennials and gen-x groups lost in music w/ no character. All music is great art, but hip hop is lost. It used to breathe life. That feeling alone is what I seek when I get a mic. We all have a past but Queen Dej speaks truth, her truth. No more, no less. Love it or hate it. Influenced by : Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Roxanne Shante, Queen Latifah, Eve, Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma, Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, Rapsody, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Big L, Jay Z, AZ, ODB, Method Man, Redman, Drake Natalie Carr takes influence from R&B, Pop, and Country music to create the innovative, sultry, new-age Pop/R&B artist creatively merging sounds within the North Carolina music scene. Following on from the release of her previous single, “Sad Little Rant“, the Charlotte native has returned with a much slower, and toned done song, although, the message and visuals do speak for themselves with Natalie exploring the notion of doomed love.
Speaking on the release of the song, Natalie reveals that she wrote the song with a visual in mind, which in her case, rarely comes first. “I love the idea of doomed love, or being in love with the wrong person (in this case, a flashy 80s highway criminal),” Natalie adds. “I used imagery to convey what being on the run might look like, and I wanted to allude to the feeling of being trapped by your own desire for someone, no matter what they put you through.” While Natalie has never lived this (very literal) example, she does feel like she has sacrificed her own values and sanity in order to be with a token “bad boy.” There is an innovative, sultry, new-age Pop/R&B combo in the blazing North Carolina music scene, and she goes by Natalie Carr. Upon her 2019 release of “Bad Side,” to her most recent release of silky vocals in “Sad Little Rant,” Carr has demonstrated dynamism in her writing and storytelling ability. Based in Charlotte, by way Stamford, Connecticut, Carr considers herself to be a crossover artist siting influence from r&b, pop, and even country music. Fans of Carr gravitate towards her honest lyricism and the way she resonates with their day-to-day lives. Her writing may range from heartbreak, to society’s perception of young women, to personal anguish and addiction she has experienced in her own life. No matter, the songstress strives to speak through her music on a personal level.Learning guitar and piano as a child, fast-forwarding to her time in Durham as a student at Duke University, Carr has found herself through writing her own music. She plans to release an EP by 2021. Born in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Florida, SamoMillion (pronounced Mil-ee-yon) had to grow up quick and become the man of the house after his father was deported back to his native country of Haiti when Samo was very young. He said he had the same struggles as most kids have when growing up in a low-income neighborhood, and music became a way for him to express the feelings that were often bottled up inside. He turned to inspiration from other artists with Haitian roots, such as Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean and Soulja Slim. As he studied and developed his sound more, he created a fusion of Soca, Reggae, Pop, Hip Hop and Afrobeats.
Eventually, his hard work and natural talent landed him a partnership with independent label MotorMouthMusicGroup. Together, they’re releasing the single “Lotto,” with a music video for the song set to be released Oct. 1. “When people hear it, they’ll assume it’s for somebody who won cash or a lot of money or a prize,” Samo said. “But it’s about a female who’s hard to come by. Finding a good female in this generation is hard. It’s like gambling. So I’m putting that into a song. When you find a good woman, this song will talk about how you’re supposed to treat her to keep her, because if you lose her, it could be a million years before you find another one.” Samo also said he’s working on a bigger project that he hopes to release in early 2021, as well as a follow-up single to “Lotto’ called “Soul to Keep,” which will showcase a different side of his artistry. She's Paving New Lanes & Breaking Barriers for Independent Females! She is arguably one of the most lyrically complex and creative unsigned female rappers in the current hip-hop industry. One encounter with J. Irja The Sexy Psycho and you’ll never forget her 5’0” dynamite frame that dons a striking head tattoo and boasts a powerhouse of rapid-fire, catchy lyrics and explosive stage presence. Her fans liken her to a “white girl Tech N9ne” and “female Eminem.” Platinum Producer DJ Pain 1 co-signs her performance by stating “J. Irja shuts down the stage - every time.”
Her performance and music are both captivating, but perhaps the most intriguing thing about J. Irja is her music is all inspired but her real life. In her own words “EVERYTHING I rap is real, I’ve either been through it or seen it. I don't do fake, I don’t do ‘Wishlist Rapping’” The pain in her music comes from a lifetime of struggling, of turning nothing into something. She grew up in Canada in a poverty-stricken 7 person home and turned to small side hustles to help put food on the table. A major head injury in 5th grade caused major set-backs both mentally and socially for her, and she became an outcast. She shaved her head and joined the wrestling team, and after her parents disapproval, she went on to cheerleading. It was obvious that she was torn within between her masculine and feminine sides and she turned to her one true love for solace: Music. She became a published Poet young, and graduated early vowing to never struggle as she did growing up, so she turned to selling drugs and exotic dancing to funnel money into her music career. She fell into tragedy as she obtained another severe head injury and began an intimate and tumultuous relationship with an abusive manager who extorted her and preyed upon her one true goal: to make it in the music business. But J. Irja didn’t give up! She pushed forward to Release a Star Studded Debut album ‘The Sexy Psycho EP vol 1’ on Jan 31 2019 featuring Platinum artists Paul Wall, Lil Flip, Bubba Sparxx, Bizarre of D12 & Strange Music labelmates Stevie Stone and JL B. Hood. Her Project #3SM (Sexy Psycho Strange Majik) is making noise & solidifying her as the Queen Of The Underground, The Underdog who will Never Back Down Without Fight! Her new project "The Sexy Psycho EP Vol 2" on the Other hand is Truly a game changer including a Legendary TWISTA, Gorilla Zoe, RITTZ, Lil Wyte, Caskey & More!! In addition to her mindblowing talent & resume, J. Irja also is sincerely a humanitarian focused on making a positive impact and giving back! She speaks out against Domestic Violence and shares her story in her Single & Music Video 'SURVIVOR' to motivate and uplift others who have been through the struggle. Her Video "WORK" ft Lil Wyte addresses Bullying & encourages victims to Rise Above! In addition, She started a conglomerate in honor of her daughter called the “Female Empowerment Movement Militia” a non-profit foundation that is comprised of women of all walks of life coming together to uplift and motivate one another to succeed and to demolish the roadblocks of sexual inequality once and for all and she is on her way to being part of making that happen. Female emcee RJ Bagger, born in Panama and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn has dropped her new album “Servings”. The project is a breath of fresh air to those who truly appreciate the art of rapping and the skill of lyricism.
From the very beginning of the album, I instantly began comparing RJ to the North Carolina rapper, Rapsody. In my opinion, Rapsody is the best female rapper in the game by far and one of the best rappers period. This is because of her lyrical ability, flow variation and tone control. RJ is cut from the same cloth. Similar to Rapsody, she’s not just “a dope female rapper”, but a dope rapper period. Lyrically speaking, there are few rappers I’ve heard as talented as RJ. Lines in the intro, “Can I Get Uh”, such as “Peel off in the whip, my sh*t bananas” and “2 piece on your biscuit, when I hit then your gravy gon leak” had my eyebrows raising from the very first track. There were even certain lines that made my physically laugh and smile when I caught their meanings. This album is extremely well put together. It features production that ranges from simple piano trap to boom bap. RJ wastes no lines as almost all of them contain a witty observation, a unique rhyme or a creative metaphor. “Servings” is unique because it has mass appeal. The album has songs that could easily fit in today’s radio rotations, and it also has songs that would tingle the ears of hip-hop snobs like myself. The more I listened the more I was impressed. While this project is full of bars, it also has catchy hooks to help bridge the verses together. RJ shows even more talent in her ability to sing some of her own hooks. My personal favorite song is “Connect”. RJ spits confidently over a hard beat. While this is my favorite, there are several other songs that I played several times. “Jet Jackson” and “Fiji Water” also have extremely hard beats and captivating rapping. I can’t lie, I more than enjoyed this album. It’s one of the best rap projects I’ve heard from an indie artist in a very long time. I definitely would consider myself an RJ Bagger fan and I’m excited to see what she comes up with next. |
