If You Like Logic...You'll Love Cope Vega

Bio
Travis Hanna (born March 9th, 1995), known musically by Cope Vega, is an American rapper and songwriter from Goshen, IN. His 8th musical project, The Remixtape, was released in September 2019 showcasing works from past musical projects (Project 5, Branches, and Pines, Palms, and Everything in Between) between 2016-2018, where he used alternative aliases such as Tre Thomas and L.O.X. He has worked with a variety of artists such as Ryan Bronson, TUC, Zethro, Kuoda The Kid, and Phil G. He has also opened for touring acts such as Katie Got Bandz, YFN Lucci, Do Or Die, Marco Polo, Twista, JR Donato, and Kap G.

Early Life

Vega’s father was a tool sharpener for the RV industry and had various part time jobs, and his mother also had various jobs and eventually entered the profession of bookkeeping. At a young age he was influenced by music of all genres, hip-hop/rap especially playing a huge role after listening to the early works of Eminem. He adopted influence from acts such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, and Journey as well. But, the influence of hip-hop/rap artists such as Eminem, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, and Wiz Khalifa soon grabbed his undivided attention as he began high school in the late 2000’s. Vega began freestyle rapping at the age of 16 and soon began writing down lyrics on paper or in his phone as he developed his flow. By the age of 18, he had written over 100 songs, in which he showed some of his friends at the time. They told Vega they loved it and that he should record and release music.

2014-2017: Tre Thomas

Soon after, he began writing songs that would go on to piece together 6 musical projects under the alias of Tre Thomas, including: New Kid On The Block (2014), Midwest Bars (2014), 45 Days (2014), The Combine: 2k15 (2015), Project 5 (2016), and Branches (2016). Vega went on to open for notable acts such as YFN Lucci, Do Or Die, Marco Polo, Twista, and Taylor Gang’s JR Donato in 2017. During this time, although Vega didn’t work on creating new music, he saw the potential to make music a full time job and began researching the business aspect of the industry. In late 2017, Vega moved to California for a short period of time with his brother and a close friend.

2018: L.O.X.

In 2018, Vega released his 7th musical project, Pines, Palms, and Everything in Between, under the alias L.O.X. Shortly after, he moved back to his hometown of Goshen, IN.

2019: Cope Vega

Recently, Vega told fellow artist TUC that he is “starting with a clean slate”, and changed his name to Cope Vega after an epiphany that cleared his musical vision. He also stated in a recent twitter post that he is working on an album, and to be patient.

Bio
Out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Just graduated ,now making a bit of a different vibe of music with my boys. Started ceiling floors and we just dropped our first single. Currently working on a EP. influenced by Mac Miller, Lil peep, juice world and j cole. Really wanting to get out music out to the world for we provide a different sound and Just want our vibe to be heard. All love and hope everyone enjoys what we have to offer. Music has always been our first love and we want everyone to feel that way about ours. Lots of music on the way and have lots of music already posted on SoundCloud and will be on all major platforms soon so it will not be hard to access our music. I started making music at the age of 14 and have been doing it ever since. I started out doing strictly rap and now our music is a lot for of a alternative style of music but still heavy 808s and verses that are pretty much rap, we try to have good chorus that are catchy and stick in your head. Ceiling floors started as an idea and we finally got to work as we put money into legit equipment. Currently working on producing our own beats so every song we make is 100% ours. The music we have now the beats are collaborations with fellow local music makers in the Raleigh area. We are big on supporting local artists as we can use all the support we can get as well. We are also working on a brand and plan to drop merchandise soon. The brand is called “ Do Good “ for we feel that doing good can get you a long way in life, we want to promote just being a good person but still having fun with life as it’s a journey and good vibes and karma can go along way if you make the right choices. Positivity is key in today world and if you can’t find peace and positivity life can be tough. We want to show the world what ceiling Floors is all about and we are excited to let everyone know. We hope everyone catches our vibe and enjoys it. As said before lots of music, videos and content will be on the way. Album on the way

I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. I released my 1st single title, " I Pray" in July of 2019. I am currently working on an EP titled Pain To Paper to depict things that I am holding on to which should be let go. I am emerged in the new generation of hiphop/rap. I can say my influence comes from the current climate. I am an individual who has always been creative, but never tapped into that side. Having free time on summer break after my first year in graduate school at Buffalo State College sparked me to write my 1st song. I was up one day at 4:30 am and couldnt sleep. I went on youtube then typed in instrumental and clicked the first one. At that very moment I began to write. Since I am an experienced writer amd poet the lyric came easy. I stood up and said to myself , " Vic tell your story". After writing the lyrics on post it note I then sat down at my laptop and began to recite them. At this point I was beyond ecstatic. I wrote all my friends and said Yo I just wrote a song. Lacking knowledge and not knowing where to go to next I started doing research and asking for help. Lack of responses lead me to look up the answers myself. I started studying song structure , what. A hook and bridge was. I then started to structure my song lyrics based on what I research. The process consisted of many trial and error attempts . When I felt comfortable with the final song structure I then started to recite it more with the instrumental playing. I was still learning more about music at this point so I started playing around with different beats , flows amd speed. I became stuck between two beats. After asking opinions of my friends I made the final decision. I hit the whats next stage. I decided I trusted myself and talent enough to get it recorded and produced . The search for studios began. During this journey I had help from a friend at an at home studio. This practice helped me determined my sound , comfort level , and flow. It was a fun journey to being entering a world I never knew Id be in.

This is a lyric excerpt: "I am hip hopping some Joplin copping the chronic often lost years prophet equals 27 on it and like minus millions off it, got it? this is a text freestyle of the exhausted lost-it problem kid".

I made this newest album, Portals of the Yin LP, on Dirt Hut Studios, meaning my room in a basement. I have bipolar and I'm the sickest rapper with Saskatoon roots. I possess an ethereal, spacious perspective and spit with a seemingly hazy flow, or so it's been described as being. I don't have many views, but I have many fans in the city I live, namely and mainly for addictions and overly reflexive manic episodes. Bipolar disorder increases my propensity to act foolishly at times, sometimes involving sketchy decision-making, but always involving lots of fun. I love hip hop. It gives me something to focus on. To improve upon. To challenge. And even just to be a fan, and a performer. I've done small gigs at EWC which is a local writer's collective, as well as coffeehouses and humble single performances. I seek to go bigger. Better. I seek to evolve and adapt to become ever-better in world that could use steady ascension. If not to break the stereotypes of illness and addiction, but to prove to myself there is something bigger at play here. The universe urges us to seek to see cosmic alignment, so imagine big and take home a steak even bigger.

However, I don't mind being serious too, and I find myself in deep reflection the most when I'm in the so-called equilibrium of reflex and reception. When I'm mirrored by observation through analysis and mindfulness of projection's existence as ego is strengthened only to dissolve into a mist of rap adventure and discovery, I never feel nor have felt more at peace. See what I mean? I love getting lost in the labyrinth. I thrive on it, to be precise. And to be honest.

Does this qualify as poorly written? I've had people tell me I'm a good writer. I'm trying to make the world a more positive place. We are told what not to do based on esoteric laws that neither fit nor bend upon bending, merely breaking as we're left with the only solution offered to us: Spend money on junk we don't need. My music is what the world needs, to be egotistical for a moment. I play piano, be it improvisation or original compositions. Yes: I also play sheet music and books.

I'm giving what I'm taking and taking more to give more to you and myself. Speedsound Records, Dirt Hut Studios and Beyond the Cave Records were very generous. Probably because those latter 2 are my alter ego record labels. All my albums have been done in a room in my currently hospitable dwelling location for sleeping and recording. Day in day out, soundproofing faithfully as i record whilst pulling all-night escapades for editing and writing. I recorded my new album 'Portals of the Yin LP' on a Blue Snowball usb microphone. I've been using audacity as a digital audio workstation, though I'm saving up for reaper. Hunting vst plugins to edit the music as i went along, I now have 120 freeware vst plugins to edit, mix and master. Mastered the art of the master I have not. But patience is the ultimate key to most puzzles. Even though i know audacity is considered sub-par by some, it has served me well and it's status as free is awesome. I hope to learn and grow as I sow seeds to know so I can sing, rap, be and see a pro.

Truth Forest and Illusion Forest were recorded on the built-in microphone of my laptop. It is safe to say equalization and brighteners played a role in editing my earlier work. All albums are available at pluralithic.bandcamp.com for digital download and many places that can be found if you can spell my name. I know you can. Who do I think I am, to suggest that you can't? I have faith in you. Just type in Pluralithic on youtube and I'll show up: I invented the word, there are no others. Derek Paul Paul Boo-boo Alonzo Dikembe Schmidt is my childhood name, innate identity of course being a ghost bear. D-smooth was my rapping name in high school, before I was dropping releases, I spent a decade smoking weed and freestyling with friends. If you pay attention to the steps as you make them, hip hop ends up being my, and hopefully your, creative heaven. Be it rapping or listening, artwork or street hustle. As you can tell, I'm well-versed with Krs-one, one of my biggest inspirations. Him, alongside Brother Ali, Vinnie Paz, and Aesop Rock. There are too many to name all of them. The underground is full of amazing talent. What a genre in which we do live. In a hip hop world the rich reach a hand to give a hand to those who need to know the system's broken but there's hope. Health is achievable. And curiosity is unteachable. The highest peak, to me, is unreachable. To foster a tangent, the interplay between the producer's intention and the rhymer's vulnerability flexed with power as force only applied when the streets need to hear it. So here it is. My name is Pluralithic and hip-hop is my business. Come for a visit. The experience is priceless. Hence, I just hope the quality is to your liking! Don't forget to listen. Thank you for your time. All the best.

For the most part I’ve always loved music all my life, once I got to school I started learning the logistics of music like the recording and producing part of it. I started gaining access to the studio and I would record myself sometimes. That’s how I started to develop a different respect for artist because I realized how much of a art it was. I started appreciating my music Alor more and decided to go to a actual studio and work with a producer, before that I been free styling most of my life. This only led me to decide that it was time to take it to the next level and record a project. I dropped my first mixtape on all platforms may 31 & since then I been working with local artist in my city. My major influences are people like meek mill, lil baby, & Young dolph. They all influence me because they all are humble dudes who also are not overnight success they grinded their way in the music industry. Right now I’m working on my next project & I feel like it’s dope I just want it to be heard. A few days ago I dropped a EP which featured a artist in my city name Roddy rackzz. That song has been picking up a lot of attention in the city. In order for me to become a bigger artist I feel like the promotion has to be a huge roll in that because without it the work that I put in won’t get heard. My vision is to just get my music Out There and give it a opportunity to be heard and get some feedback on everything. Regardless of what the numbers are I will continue to do music because I genuinely love it & It makes me happy. I don’t really Have To Much guidance in the industry but I Just network & I’ve even sold a couple hundred copies of my first mixtape. I’m just learning new things day to day and what I Love the most is that without any co-signs or any help my music has still done well and I been receiving really good feedback. This is why I’m motivated and looking for new ways to expand my brand. Right now I’m fresh in the business and willing to learn as much as I could to gain more knowledge on taking my talents to another level. With this being said I understand it’s a process and I will continue to do my part which is create dope music.

New Music From Dat Boy Live

Picture

Dat Boy Live

SoundCloud
soundcloud.com/Datboylive13/Let-me-see-it

Bio
Dat Boy Live or A.j Parks is a Houston, Texas based rapper with Southern Louisiana ties and California blood line which gives him a unique style and separates him from others. Most of his family resides in Baton Rouge Louisiana giving him a cajun style just from the constant environment. However, he is quickly to shout out Houston, Texas being that's where he went to school and is his true home. The culture is all in his veins with ties from 5th ward and graduating from east Houston's Channelview High School. After losing his father at a young age and other life changing experiences made him the artist he has become today. He often does not follow trends and likes to go in his own direction. He avoids liking what most others like just to be different. The first project in development is called Living 4 a Reason which has been a motto that I have always lived by. Wanting the world to know that there is a purpose to life and that life can be exactly what you make it to be. In order to show the full authenticity of himself he only used three other collaborators on this project and they are his own flesh and blood. Major influences consists of Skooly, Plies, Jeezy, 50 cent, Chamillionaire, and Webbie. As said before he likes to be unique so these influences may not be top 10 to other artist but they are definitely relatable to Dat Boy Live. The time is here for Dat Boy Live to be heard he is a next generation artist with and old school feel so his sound will blend well with present hip hop. Being diverse is a huge part of his sound and he will be heard through several genres. The opportunity is here and he will not hesitate to take the driver seat and run far beyond any artist who may be standing in his way. Living 4 a Reason the mixtape will be a must hear and pretty soon the phones will be ringing off the hook to sign Dat Boy Live. His name Dat Boy Live was created by himself. Live as in Filming Live is just something he has lived by something at a young age. Realizing everyday is Live Tv taking place and its up to the individual to decide what type of movie do you want to be the star in. Situations occur in everyday life and some people are defined by these moments that take place. I have decided to describe these life stories through lyrics and beats while painting the picture of the outcomes. My book is still being written and Living 4 a Reason is the first chapter.

New Music From Trap Artist Lil Wavvy

Bio
Hey Im an Artist from Trenton North Carolina and im only 20 years old and im currently working, im not signed to any label and im just an artist making music in my closet and pushing my music through social media and soundcloud and I make excellent moody music and people can really just vibe to my music and I make nothing but hits so when I get signed to a record label I promise you they gone love me, because i bring a lot to the table and I can make that label a lot of money and myself as well.

Im living in Tampa Florida right now and im about to move to Goldsboro in North Carolina with my sister and mom because my mom is sick and me and my sister is taking care of her because she is sick. Im influenced by artist like Post Malone, Migos, Chris Brown, Omarion, Gunna, and Playboi Carti. So just by seeing the people that I listen to alot, you kind of can tell how my music is.

Music is my world and I can't go a day without listening to music and music just makes me so happy and I can see myself making great music for the rest of my life and for my fans.

My mom raised me by her self and my dad was there for 9 years, but after that he just left, but my mom and sisters raised me so my childhood was great, I mean we didn't have it like that but my mom worked her ass off with two jobs and she worked until she got sick in 2018.

So when I graduated in June from Jones Senior High School I moved from North Carolina to Tampa Florida to stay with my sister who's in the Air Force and her husband who does tattoos.

When I moved down here I worked at Hooters and that was my first job at the age 19, and I worked for 6 months, until my mom got sick and so I had to go back home and take care of her. So while im taking care of her im working and also working on my music and tryna promote my music the best I can while also having a manager who is doing the best she can.

When everyday life seems to turn boring, when humans around are beyond enduring, When the crests are less and the troughs are more, When hopes and dreams seem to be washed ashore . . music helps! #original

For me, music starts my day and ends it too. I have an automated process on my desktop to churn up and play a random favorite track as soon as I wake up. It is the pre-meditation snack for my brain. When I am working out in the gym, I need the batman background score or any Hans Zimmer tune or the themes of my favorite action movies to be on a loop. When I am working on something critical, I need my headphones and playlist, else my brain gets bored in an hour or simply refuses to think.

I need to pick up my guitar or flute once every weekend, and play whatever crap I can that gets me naturally high.

I am also a binge-listener. When I love a song or track, I keep listening to it on a loop for days or weeks, at home, in my car, at work . . everywhere till I can’t listen to it anymore, and it starts sounding different and weird. But that is how it is. Music offers the redemption from everyday monotony. It is that liberating factor in my life, other than talking to people I care about, that makes me forget about the tantrums of life and transfers me to a realm of peace.

Up & coming hip hop artist from Seattle. Working on a bunch of new music that is coming soon & I also have some important collabs coming up soon as well. Lil Uzi, Drake, Lil Baby, etc. are all of my influences that i incorporate into my own music and tell my stories of what I do in my life. I grew up listening to hip hop at a young age but didn't fully pursue it until halfway through my senior year of high school. From there I've worked extremely hard every day on this & got better every year & day to help myself move on with the rest of my life. I've taught myself ways to be a great artist as well as a great individual too. I've done 2 shows @ Coast 2 Coast live in 2017 & 2018 @ the Vera Project. The shows were a great experience for me to build up my fanbase and getting to be known in my city. It's good for me to be known as an individual to get people to know me a little bit & what my story is behind my music because it's important for me to realize that there aren't any easy shortcuts in life, i gotta go out and I need to get it. I would love to blow up soon & put this on for my hometown to show that I've put in a serious amount of work to get to where I want to be in a few years from now or so. Now I'm still working on new music everyday & getting myself better for my growth & my process as a major hip hop artist from an unknown area in Seattle. Lil Mosey is a great friend of mine & he's also a rapper that's from Seattle. He & I go way back when we've met each other when Mosey was 13. Now Mosey is a famous rapper & I want to join him up there as soon as I possibly can. We're both proud of each other for our hard work & our success & it will only go up from there overtime. This shows my ability to work as hard as I possibly can & put a lot of time into my music so that I can get great results in the end. I've had a lot of friends over the years in high school that really believed in me & they wanted to win & succeed in the rap game. They told me I have great potential to be one but I have to work hard on it everyday if I want to get somewhere with this.
